Proper labeling of fresh and frozen chicken was the subject of a hearing held by the House Government Operations Agriculture Subcommittee. Current rules allow poultry that is frozen at zero degrees to be sold as fresh. Testimony from restaurant chefs, industry leaders and government officials on the nation’s poultry product labeling suggested that labeling procedures could be improved. close
