During a House-Senate Conference Committee consideration of the crime bill, congressional negotiators work to resolve the differences between the House and Senate versions of the crime bill. The chairman’s mark does not include several controversial aspects of the legislation including racial justice provision and assault weapon measures. This is the first time in almost six weeks that congressional negotiators have met to continue working to resolve the differences between the House and Senate versions of the crime bill. close
