During ceremonies marking the fourth anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), President Clinton spoke of his goals for enabling Americans to move productively into the 21st century. They include: creating a world of greater peace and prosperity; restoring the American economy; strengthening our communities and families; and empowering every American to live up to his/her fullest potential. The President pledged to see that the ADA is “fully implemented and aggressively enforced” in our schools, our workplaces, in government, and in public places. close
