Referring to the House’s rejection of the Crime Bill, the President told supporters gathered at the White House “there should be no more excuses, tricks, delays, or discussion about whether this is a Democratic bill, Republican bill, or a Clinton bill.” Mr. Stokes maintained that the assault weapons ban must remain in the legislation. Stokes was joined by Steven Sposato, Janice Payne, and Mark Klaas whose family members were victims of violent crimes. close
