Mr. Noble reported that there will be two phases of inquiry into the plane crash that took place at the White House early this morning. First, the Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Aviation Administration, National Transportation Safety Board, and Metropolitan Police Department have combined their resources to investigate this incident and pursue any appropriate law enforcement action. Second, he (Noble) and Eljay Bowron, Director of the Secret Service, will lead a thorough review of the procedures used to protect the President and First Family in such incidents. This review will be coordinated with the White House and all relevant federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. The review will be completed in 90 days. Following the briefing, Mr. Meyer Mr. Griffin and he took media questions on the air crash. They were unable to answer many questions from the press for security reasons. close
