The Senate met to continue debate on the nomination of Admiral Henry Mauz to retire as a four star admiral. The nomination was slowed due to concerns that the admiral did not do enough to investigate sexual harassment complaints under his command. Several senators asked that the Senate Armed Services Committee look further into the details. Admiral Mauz was the outgoing commander of the Atlantic Fleet.

The Senate then recessed to attend the weekly party caucus luncheons. close
