Reporters were briefed on the U.S. occupation of Haiti. A grenade exploded in Haiti’s capital, Port-au-prince, on Thursday, killing at least three Haitians and wounding eighteen others. The explosion occurred near U.S. positions at the seaport. U.S. officials had been concerned about civilians having a high number of grenades and other weapons. Mr. Kelly was recently announced to head the International Police Monitoring Force in Haiti. close
