Ambassador Mondale reported on President Clinton’s meeting with Prime Minister Murayama of Japan today. The ambassador said the two leaders covered several areas including the Mutual Security Treaty between Japan and the United States, the North Korean agreement, auto sector negotiations and other trade issues, next year’s meeting of the APEC organization, and common agenda items such as science, education, and AIDS. Following the ambassador’s remarks, Mr. Cutter joined him in answering questions. close
