Ms. Height spoke at the 22nd Annual "Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration". She has been involved in civil rights since the mid 1930's, and worked closely with Dr. King. She spoke on when she first met Dr. King, the boycott in Montgomery, Alabama, the problems of racism and prejudice and how they were institutionalized how philanthropy helped the black community. She continued relating Dr. King’s accomplishments until his death and his legacy. close
