The U.S. House of Representatives resumed debate on a series of bills designed to reshape the Crime Bill that passed last year. House members returned to the bill to expand the use of evidence against alleged criminals in federal courts. This bill would allow prosecutors to secure evidence gathered without warrants as long as the police search was reasonable. Later the House began debate on a bill that would limit death penalty appeals. close
