The subcommittee reviewed President Clinton’s national drug control strategy. Mrs. Reagan the drug-free schools program begun during her husband’s presidency. Former drug office administrators testified about the drug strategies of former presidents. Director Brown reprimanded the committee for a “gross breach of protocol” in not scheduling his testimony first, calling it a politicizing of the drug control issue. close
