Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Buzenberg talked about news coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing and other events. In the newspaper roundtable segment, Ms. Garment and Mr. MacLeish reviewed the morning headline stories. In the point-counterpoint segment, Mr. Goure and Mr. Zogby debated the best responses to terrorist attacks. In the last segment, Ms. Toensing, who established the Justice Department terrorism unit during the Reagan administration, and Mr. Schweitzer talked about the Oklahoma City bombing. close
