Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Farrell talked about current issues including the Clintons' legal problems. In the newspaper roundtable, Ms. Geyer and Mr. Prichard discussed current issues including the Clintons' legal concerns and the budget. Next, Mr. Lewis talked about his book, The Buying of the President, and related it to present day politics. In the final segment, Mr. Isaacs and Mr. Moore disussed current issues including U.S. defense policy. close
