The House began today’s session with Morning Speeches. Member may speak for up to one minute on any topic. The House went on to consider a bill to pay all legal expenses of seven former employees of the White House Travel Office. The House then considered a bill to approve the Vermont-New Hampshire Public Water Supply Compact. The Session continued on to a bill calling on China to negotiate peacefully with Taiwan. The House went on to consider a bill to consolidate Member’s three office budgets into one account. Later on, the House considered a bill to change U.S. policy concerning legal and illegal immigration. This bill would increase the number of border patrol agents by 5000 over the next five years. Three votes were held. The House Session ended after Special Order Speeches. close
