Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Ketter discussed congressional action this week, such as farm and line-item veto legislation, and other issues. In the newspaper roundtable, Ms. Cullum and Mr. McGinty talked about current headlines, the budget and individual rights. In the last segment, guests discussed Don Imus' presentation at the Radio and Television Correspondents' Dinner and the relationship between the media, humor and politics in general. close
