Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Nichols talked about the morning headlines including Whitewater and the FBI files controversy. In the newspaper roundtable, Rep. Barrett and Senator McCain talked about current issues including the Russian elections and airline safety. Mr. Chaney talked by telephone about his political views and C-SPAN Scholarship entry. In the next segment, Mr. Kessler talked about the issue of FBI background checks. In the final segment, Mr. duPont talked by remote connection about a new web site, (www.IntellectualCapital.com), for the Intellectual Capital online magazine. close
