President Clinton reacted to the June unemployment figures which were released today. The Labor Department announced that the rate fell to 5.3 percent last month. He talked about federal deficit reduction and an increase in wages during his administration. Following his prepared remarks, the president took a few questions from the press. Then the president left the briefing room and Mr. Baily answered a few more questions from the press. close
