The U.S. House of Representatives voted on approving the Journal. Then the members gave one-minute speeches. Later the House considered a bill letting workers take compensatory time off instead of overtime pay. The House voted on the Resolution COMP Time & Overtime. The Bill would require there to be an explicit comp time agreement between employers & employees. The Bill would also allow an employee to convert comp time back into cash with 30 days' notice. The Resolution was agreed to by a vote of Yea 228 and Nay 175. They continued with the appropriation bills. close
