Committee members heard testimony from White House and drug enforcement officials and others about the pervasiveness of drug use among federal employees and how this may be addressed by Congress. They also testified about their agencies' policies to prevent drug use by federal employees. This hearing was called in response to information provided during the Government Reform and Oversight committee hearings into White House handling of FBI files about drug use by persons applying for positions in the White House. close
