A guest lecture at PRINCETON UNIVERSITY New Jersey by

Marta Tienda,Sociology Professor,UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO,

addressed Immigrant Adaptation.

Professor Tienda spoke about immigrant adaptation to U.S. society through entrepreneurial enterprises in Chicago. She emphasized that typical classifications and ideas about the economic activities of immigrants are suspect in many ways and that Mexican immigrants are just as, if not more, entrepreneurial than groups that are assumed to be entrepreneurial, such as Koreans. After her remarks, she took questions from the audience.
