On the last day before the 1996 election, President Clinton addressed Iowa supporters. Mrs. Clinton talked about breast cancer research while Senator Harkin talked about Medicare funding and urged voters to go to the polls tomorrow. The president talked about the accomplishments of his administration, his economic policy and other issues. There were signs on the stage saying, “Every Vote Counts” and “Meeting America’s Challenges.” After the rally, the president could be seen greeting members of the crowd. close
