In a town hall-style meeting, Labor Secretary Robert Reich said farewell to Department of Labor employees. He announced that he would resign in order to spend more time with his family in Boston, but that he would stay on at least through the inauguration. He stressed that they must continue to make the department more effective and efficient and commit themselves to protecting and helping U.S. workers despite continuing budget reductions. close
