At the first aviation safety summit sponsored by Aviation Week Magazine, Lewis Jordan, president of Valujet Airlines, spoke about the rebirth of Valujet and what the accident in the Everglades can teach the industry as a whole. He stressed that the company was always committed to safety and will continue to be so. He also outlined the many courses of action the airline is taking to make it the safest in the industry. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience of air industry executives. close
