Mr. Jarvik spoke about the findings in his new book, PBS: Behind the Screen. It focuses on how PBS is funded, whether it is profitable and whether it has a political agenda evident in its programming. Then Mr. Lichtenstein commented on the book and Mr. Jarvik’s remarks. Both presenters also dealt with the larger issue of the role of public television in a free society. Afterward, they took questions from the audience. close
