Professor O’Connor spoke as part of a lecture series on perceptions of the U.S. Supreme Court. She provided an historical overview of ways the Court has dealt with the status of gender in cases that came before it over the past 200 years. Other topics included the ways interest groups have used the Court to promote the status of women and the contributions of Justices Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the Court by their presence as women. After her prepared remarks, she took questions from audience members. close
