Professor Reisman spoke at the Objectivist Philosophy Club. In his remarks, he argued that affirmative action and other government programs have unintentionally limited the economic opportunities of African-Americans and that eliminating government regulations and activating a truly free market economy would benefit them immensely. He supported this argument with the idea that true capitalism, which is driven solely by the profit motive, would be racially blind. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience. This version contains the question and answer session after Professor Reisman’s speech. close
