Campaign managers and activists recounted stories and events of the 1972 McGovern presidential campaign. Included on the panel was Hunter Thompson who wrote “Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail,” an irreverent account of the campaign. They also took questions from the audience. Senator McGovern was in the audience and commented in response to some questions raised in the discussion. Some of panelists use strong language in discussing President Nixon and the press. close
