Dr.Ian Wilmut, the head of the research team that successfully cloned a sheep, spoke at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. The project marked the first successful cloning of a mammal. He talked about his research and his future plans for the cloning technology. Dr. Wilmut stated the unethicalness of cloning a human he, but he would like to see specialized medicines and improved livestock result from cloning research.
