Scholars, journalists and members of the Bush administration discussed President Bush’s relations with a Congress controlled by Democratic majorities. Professors Conley, Kassop and Spitzer made presentations on various aspects of this topic, especially President Bush’s confrontations with Congress and his efforts to lead Congress on various legislative issues. Then they and the other panelists commented on their presentations. The panelists also took questions from the audience. This was part of a three-day symposium on the Bush presidency. close
