Political Future of Health Care

Rep. Dick Armey, R-Texas and Majority Leader, spoke about the future of health care. He said that the United States has the best health care system in the world being the leader in health technology and producing half of the world’s medical innovations. Rep. Armey said that free people using their own creativity and intelligence is a better route than relying on the government to regulate the health care industry. He said that the health care industry should continue to be privatized and said that those who fear the private marketplace should rest assured that the market punishes those who cheat or steal.
