President Clinton announced that he has directed all executive branch agencies to comply with new religious freedom in the workplace guidelines. The guidelines would allow more religious expression by federal employees, such as display or wearing of important religious articles. President Clinton said it was his hope that the United States could enter the next century as the most successful society made of up of many different groups and religious freedom was one way to make that wish come true. close
