This event, held at Thomas Jefferson’s home, ‘Monticello’ in Charlottesville ,VA. featured

John Logan Allen, Geography Professor, Univ. of Connecticut

Mr.Allen talked about the role President Jefferson played in the Louisiana Purchase ,the expedition of Lewis and Clark to explore and map western territory.

He talked about Jefferson’s impressions of the West and its role in the future of the United States. Following his prepared remarks, Professor Allen took questions from members of the audience.
