Panelists examined the role of journalists in news coverage of presidential campaigns. They examined how journalists can better help voters learn about issues and candidates through their reporting the debate over privacy versus public knowledge of candidates' private lives. They also took questions from the audience of students. This was part of a two-day symposium on the future of presidential debates. close
