Attorney General Reno and Secretary Riley summed up the results of the day- long forum on what can be done about attacks against people who are victims of crimes motivated by racial hatred or discrimination against sexual orientation and religious preference. The reports included issues such as hate crimes on campus prevention and response, hate crimes in schools K-12, law enforcement response to hate crimes, understanding the problem with hate crime statistics, hate crimes in public and private housing, community response to hate crimes and counteracting organized hate.
