Federal Reserve Board Alan Chairman Greenspan talked about the recent volatility in the Asian economies and the effect they have on the rest of the world. He said the current crisis in Asia is a result of government-directed production has a difficult time adjusting to market demands for goods and exports. Chairman Greenspan reviewed the activity of Asian markets and how they have fallen. Following his prepared remarks, Chairman Greenspan answered questions from the audience. close
