French and U.S. Cultures
Tocqueville and Beaumont arrived in Mobile from New Orleans by steamboat in January 1832. While there, they noticed the French influence in Mobile. Ms. Middaugh compared French and U.S. culture and took audience calls, faxes and electronic mail.
