Subcommittee members heard testimony regarding a bill that would require labor unions to obtain written permission before spending workers' compulsory dues for campaign financing purposes. Workers who opposed having their dues utilized for campaigns, labor professors and a union representative against the legislation testified as to their positions on the bill. close
