During his opening statement, Attorney General Jeff Sessions addresses claims that he previously gave false testimony to Congress about his knowledge of interaction with Russian officials during the 2016 presidential campaign. The attorney general says he stands by his prior testimony and stresses that he never lied. He adds that he had no recollection of a meeting with George Papadopoulos and Carter Page during the campaign about a visit to Russia until after he saw the news reports. Mr. Sessions goes on to say the Trump campaign was very chaotic. "It was a form of chaos every day from day one," he says. close
