Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announce that senators will vote on Thursday afternoon on two competing proposals to re-open the government. The first vote will be on President Trump's proposal granting temporary protection to DACA recipients and funding the wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. The second vote will be on a measure to temporarily re-open the government until February 8 to allow time to negotiate a resolution on border security funding. Voting is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET and both measures will need 60 votes to advance to consideration. close
