President Trump announced that his administration would take action to ban flavored e-cigarettes from the market in an effort to protect children against addiction. He was joined by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and FDA Acting Commissioner Dr. Norman Sharpless. Following the announcement he spoke to reporters on a wide range of topics including why he asked his third national security adviser, John Bolton, to step down.

Witnesses testified about proposed renovations to the United Nations headquarters in New York, funding requests for the project, and estimated development costs for similar projects in New York.

Following the hearing members and developers briefly answered questions from reporters about estimated costs of the development project.

Groups including the Tea Party Patriots held a “Stop the Iran Deal Rally” on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol to voice their opposition to the Iran nuclear agreement. Republican presidential candidates Senator Ted Cruz and Donald Trump were the featured speakers. Other congressional members also rallied the crowd against the deal.
