Lynn Brezosky talked about the volume of trade over the U.S.-Mexico border, and its impact on southern Texas and the U.S. She was interviewed in Laredo, Texas, on the World Trade Bridge.

During the program two interviews taped by C-SPAN between April 25-27, 2016, in Laredo, Texas, were shown. Mario Maldonado, city of Laredo bridge operator, talked about how the city benefits from the amount of traffic crossing into Mexico. Rosa Cabello detailed U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s recent seizure of narcotics at the World Trade Bridge.

Representative Henry Cuellar (D-TX), whose district includes Laredo, Texas, talked about the impact of the NAFTA trade deal on southern Texas and the rest of the U.S. He participated from the World Trade Bridge in Laredo.

At the conclusion of the program, an April 25, 2016, interview was shown with Laredo banker Gerry Schwebel. He explained why U.S. companies are incentivized to move production to Mexico.
