This Bell Ringer is to be used as an anticipatory set to introduce the Legislative Branch of our government. This video exposes students to the Grandeur and history of the Capitol Building. You may use it with the whole class. Have students turn and talk with a partner to answer the questions. Have some of the groups share their answers. Teachers may also use the attached Handout: History of the U.S. Capitol and assign it to students through Google Classroom, Schoology, or other platform.
