This is a choice board that will allow students to learn about many facets of the Revolutionary War. It is a multi-day, self-led assignment. The videos above are a sampling of the videos used on the board. There are 16 activities included, but it is recommended that teachers assign some and allow students to choose which others to complete (see procedures below for more details). In addition to C-SPAN clips, there are also links to documents in the National Archives, the Library of Congress, and other public sources. This can be an in-class or remote activity. Please see the teachers notes document attached below - it includes suggestions for activities, a differentiation option, and other details.
SET-UP:
Open the Choice Board - Revolutionary War Google Slides Presentation in Google and choose "File" then "Make a Copy" to get your own copy. Make any needed adjustments in the instructions and then make it available to students (via Google Classroom or another method).
Update the directions on the first slide with your own instructions to let students know how many activities to complete. Suggestions: 1 in each row, 4 in a row, the first row and 3 more. Each student will need a copy of the choice board to open with their Google account. For more details, see the teacher notes document below.

ASSIGNMENT NOTES:
Activities can be completed in any order, though saving the last row for the end is probably best. (It will be easier once they’ve gotten some information from the other activities.)
The choice board is designed to be completed without (too much) teacher help. It can be completed in class or as a remote instruction activity. It is meant to be a multi-day assignment, as each activity could take students 15-45 minutes.
It can also be assigned as a group activity if multiple students are sharing a device.
Suggested assignments:
