On This Day: Little Rock Nine

The Little Rock Nine were the first Black students who attempted to integrate the then all White Little Rock Central High School following the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision. President Eisenhower deployed the Army to escort the nine students into the school after the governor of Arkansas attempted to deny the students admission by using the state's National Guard.
