President Biden touched on new border security enhancements during remarks at the White House. He announced new enforcement measures to secure the border, highlighting an expansion of a previous program allowing for an additional 30,000 migrants per month from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, and Nicaragua who follow U.S. law while seeking asylum. The president also discussed a plan to expel migrants from illegally entering the country who do not abide by U.S. immigration laws which will permanently ban them from seeking asylum in the future.
