Video Clip: President Trump Recognizes Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel

President Trump signed an executive order officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. In doing so, he is the first president to not issue a waiver to a 1995 law requiring a move of the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital. President Trump said he was directing the State Department to immediately begin planning the embassy’s move, and that his decision did not diminish his administration’s desire to forge a peace agreement between Israel and Palestine in a “two-state solution.”
