Description

Members of the Senate and House Appropriations Committees met to discuss and negotiate the differences in the House and Senate spending bills dealing with border security. Senate Chairperson Richard Shelby (R-AL) and House Chairperson Nita Lowey (D-NY) discussed their priorities during the committee meeting. Lawmakers and the President have until February 15 to pass a spending bill in order to avoid another partial government shutdown.
