Description

H.R. 1- "The For the People Act" passed in the House of Representatives along party lines, 234-119. The bill would overhaul the way Americans vote and take aim at the amount of money currently flowing through the U.S. political system. House Administration Committee Chair Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) explained the process of passing the bill and why the bill is necessary. The bill is not expected to be voted on in the Senate.
