Senate Minority Leader Schumer (D-NY) spoke about the vote to terminate President Trump's recent national emergency declaration to deal with the situation on the southern border with Mexico. Later in the session twelve Republicans joined Democrats in voting 59-12 to approve a resolution blocking President Trump's recent national emergency declaration. The President tweeted later that he would veto the resolution.
