CR pp. H466-H492. The House expressed its confidence that the people of El Salvador will reject efforts to disrupt the election to be held on March 20, 1988, and will take the opportunity to vote. The House condemned the bombing of Korean Air Lines flight 858 by North Korean agents. Presidential messages were read transmitting proposed legislation entitled the “Truth in Federal Spending Act of 1988,” and transmitting the 1987 report of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency.
